Greetings!
I'm Soham Khisa, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where I am working on advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from BUET in May 2023. My undergraduate thesis, focused on knowledge graphs, was supervised by Dr. Muhammad Masroor Ali.
Prior to joining UMBC, I worked as a remote research assistant with Dr. Avijoy Chakma, Assistant Professor at Bowie State University, contributing to projects in applied machine learning for IoT and pervasive computing.

Remote Research Assistant | Sept 2023 - July 2025
Worked with Dr. Avijoy Chakma, Assistant Professor at Bowie State University. My primarily focus was on developing machine learning algorithms for IoT and cyber-physical systems, emphasizing sensor data analysis and system performance optimization. Alongside this, my role also involved exploring various fields of applied machine learning and artificial intelligence, including computer vision and large language models (LLMs).
